L'action commune prévoit que : L'Union européenne soutient la mise en oeuvre urgente des résolutions pertinentes du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies, qui devront permettre l'acheminement de l'aide humanitaire vers l'est du Zaïre ainsi que faciliter le retour librement consenti des réfugiés vers leurs pays d'origine et le retour des personnes déplacées.
The Joint Action contains the following provisions: The European Union supports the urgent implementation of the relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions, with a view to enabling the delivery of humanitarian aid to Eastern Zaire and facilitating the return by free consent of refugees to their country of origin and the return of displaced persons.
