Le rapporteur invite instamment la Commission à poursuivre ses efforts tant à l'échelle internationale qu'au sein de l'Union pour proposer des mesures tendant à colmater les lacunes du droit international qui favorisent le commerce de produits provenant de la pêche illicite et pour renforcer le système communautaire de contrôle des activités de pêche en dehors des eaux communautaires et dans les ports communautaires.
The rapporteur urges the Commission to continue its efforts both internally and at international level with a view to proposing measures designed to close the loopholes in international law which enable products derived from illegal fishing to be traded and to improving the Community scheme for monitoring fishing activity carried on outside Community waters and in Community ports.
