Les élections européennes sont régies par l’acte de 1976[1] relatif à l’élection des membres du Parlement européen au suffrage universel direct, tel que modifié par la décision 2002/772/CE, Euratom du Conseil[2], qui établit plusieurs principes communs à tous les États membres, tels que l’obligation d’appliquer le scrutin proportionnel et d’organiser le scrutin au cours de la même période allant du jeudi au dimanche suivant.
European elections are regulated by the 1976 Act[1] on the election of the members of the European Parliament by direct universal suffrage, as amended by Council Decision 2002/772/EC, Euratom[2], which lays down some common principles for all Member States, such as the obligation to use proportional representation and to ensure that polling day falls within the same period starting on a Thursday and ending on the following Sunday.
