Definition: Problems related to contact or attempted contact with the child's or the other person's breasts or genitals, sexual exposure in close confrontation or attempt to undress or seduce the child, by a substantially older person outside the child's family, either on the basis of this person's position or status or against the will of the child.

Definition: An ill-defined disorder of uncertain nosological validity. The category is designed to include a group of children with severe mental retardation (IQ below 35) who show major problems in hyperactivity and in attention, as well as stereotyped behaviours. They tend not to benefit from stimulant drugs (unlike those with an IQ in the normal range) and may exhibit a severe dysphoric reaction (sometimes with psychomotor retardation) when given stimulants. In adolescence, the overactivity tends to be replaced by underactivity (a pattern that is not usual in hyperkinetic children with normal intelligence). This syndrome is also often associated with a variety of developmental delays, either specific or global. The ...[+++]extent to which the behavioural pattern is a function of low IQ or of organic brain damage is not known.

Definition: Conduct disorder, usually occurring in younger children, primarily characterized by markedly defiant, disobedient, disruptive behaviour that does not include delinquent acts or the more extreme forms of aggressive or dissocial behaviour. The disorder requires that the overall criteria for F91.- be met; even severely mischievous or naughty behaviour is not in itself sufficient for diagnosis. Caution should be employed before using this category, especially with older children, because clinically significant conduct disorder will usually be accompanied by dissocial or aggressive behaviour that goes beyond mere defiance, disobe ...[+++]dience, or disruptiveness.

The four issues addressed concerned: number one, the characteristics common to alienated families, such as the number of children and the number of marriages; number two, common themes or issues among the conflicts within couples that contributed to the dissolution of the marriage; number three, the common themes in the participants' experience of the alienation process; and finally, what the lost parents perceived they might do differently, given the opportunity.

Where in these supplementary estimates can you tell us we're going to see expenditures that will deal with this issue of alienated youths—either immigrants themselves or children of immigrants—so that this particular problem can be reduced and these young people become more productive members of society, so that they have better motivation to get education or jobs?
