Decoupling subsidies from production, substantially reducing Community support and abolishing the remaining traces of export subsidies will result in increased imports and a reduction in exports, will shrink the manufacturing industry and turn certain factories into packaging units for imported raw materials and will result in drastic cutbacks or the abandonment of certain crops, the subsidies for which make a significant contribution to farmers’ incomes.
Découpler les subventions de la production, réduire substantiellement le soutien communautaire et supprimer les dernières miettes de restitutions à l’exportation aboutira à une augmentation des importations et à une réduction des exportations, fera décliner l’industrie manufacturière, transformera certaines usines en unités d’emballage des matières premières importées et conduira à des réductions drastiques ou à l’abandon de certaines cultures, dont les subventions contribuent de manière significative aux revenus des agriculteurs.
