(4) Where a quality mark specified in Column I of item 3, 5 or 6 of the table to this section is applied to an article plated with gold or silver to a thickness of at least one micrometre, a statement of the thickness of the gold or silver expressed as a whole numeral and followed immediately by the word “micrometre”, or the symbol “vm” therefor, may be applied to the article in conjunction with the quality mark.
(4) Lorsqu’une marque de qualité spécifiée à la colonne I des numéros 3, 5 ou 6 du tableau du présent article est appliquée à un article recouvert d’un plaqué d’or ou d’argent d’une épaisseur d’au moins un micromètre, une déclaration de l’épaisseur de l’or ou de l’argent, exprimée par un nombre entier immédiatement suivi du mot « micromètre » ou de son symbole « µm », peut être appliquée à l’article à côté de la marque de qualité.
