We have long argued that there are provisions, both within the WTO, TRIPS, and NAFTA, that would still allow compulsory licensing of pharmaceuticals under certain conditions, but the Government of Canada has chosen not to take advantage of those provisions.
Nous avons depuis longtemps soutenu qu'il existe, à l'OMC, dans l'accord sur les ADPIC et dans l'ALENA, des dispositions qui permettraient quand même que soient obligatoirement produits sous licence certains produits pharmaceutiques, dans certaines conditions, mais le gouvernement du Canada a préféré ne pas se prévaloir de ces dispositions.
