Senator Cools has rightly reminded the Senate that the role of the Speaker in consideration of a question of privilege is limited to assessing whether there is a prima facie case, that is, whether the subject of the alleged breech is sufficiently serious to warrant further consideration by the Senate.
Le sénateur Cools a rappelé à bon droit que le rôle du Président dans l'examen d'une question de privilège se limite à déterminer s'il y a présomption d'atteinte au privilège, c'est-à-dire si la nature de l'atteinte au privilège est assez grave pour justifier que le Sénat se penche sur la question.
