The invitation was presented to Ms Bonino, Member of the Commission responsible for fisheries, by Mr Sola, the Argentine Secretary of State for Fisheries, when they met recently to consider in particular how the fisheries agreement in force since May 1994 has functioned for both sides and to exchange views on bilateral cooperation with regard to the international waters of the south-west Atlantic.
Mme Bonino, Commissaire européen responsable pour la pêche, et Mr. Sola, Secrétaire d'Etat argentin à la Pêche, se sont rencontrés pour examiner notamment le déroulement de l'accord de pêche entre les deux parties, en vigueur depuis mai 1994, et avoir un échange de vue sur la coopération bilatérale en ce qui concerne les eaux internationales du Sud-Ouest Atlantique.
