1. Deplores the protectionist US decision to impose extraordinary tariffs of up to 30% on steel imports, in flagrant violation of WTO rules, with a strategy of targeting mainly imports from the EU, but damaging also other steel producers around the world, with the exception of countries such as Canada and Mexico; fears that this arbitrary act follows a pattern which is damaging the reputation of the USA and harming efforts to build international partnership;
1. déplore la décision protectionniste prise par les États-Unis d'instaurer, en violation flagrante des règles de l'OMC, des droits de douane supplémentaires, pouvant atteindre 30%, sur les importations d'acier, droits qui visent principalement les importations en provenance de l'Union européenne, mais qui porteront aussi préjudice à d'autres producteurs d'acier dans le monde, à l'exception de pays tels que le Canada et le Mexique; craint que cet acte arbitraire suive un modèle qui nuit à l'image des États-Unis et contrarie les efforts déployés pour construire un partenariat international;
