The problem therefore is neither the aerobic biodegradeability thresholds for surfactants nor the test system to be used, but the absence of a test methodology for the anaerobic biodegradeability of surfactants and the biodegradeability of the product as a whole (in other words of every non-surfactant organic ingredient of the detergent), which is postponed to some future date, as is the drafting of provisions thereon.
Ce ne sont donc pas tant les limites de la biodégradabilité en aérobie d'un agent de surface ni même le système de vérification qui sèment le doute, que l'absence de méthodes d'essai pour attester sa biodégradabilité en anaérobiose et la biodégradabilité du produit complet (à savoir de tous les ingrédients organiques non tensioactifs présents dans le détergent) qui sont renvoyées, tout comme la formulation de normes pertinentes, à une date à déterminer.
