59 (1) The boundaries of watertight compartments in a floating platform shall contain no more openings than necessary for the operation of the platform and, where penetration of those boundaries is necessary for access, ventilation, piping and cables or any other similar purpose, arrangements shall be made to maintain the strength and watertight integrity of the boundaries.
59 (1) Aucune cloison des compartiments étanches à l’eau de la plate-forme flottante ne doit contenir plus d’ouvertures qu’il n’en faut pour l’exploitation de la plate-forme et lorsque de telles ouvertures s’imposent pour l’accès, l’aération ou le passage de canalisations et de câbles ou pour tout autre but analogue, des mesures doivent être prises pour maintenir la résistance et l’étanchéité à l’eau de la cloison.
