The EU-UNICEF project, announced ahead of a key family planning summit being held in London next week by the British Government and the Gates Foundation, will be implemented in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Myanmar, Mozambique, Uganda, Kiribati, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands and will replace existing registration processes, which, when available, are often of such poor quality that records are lost or cannot be retrieved.
Ce projet conjoint de l’Union européenne et de l’Unicef, annoncé avant la tenue, la semaine prochaine à Londres, d’un grand sommet sur la planification familiale organisé par le gouvernement britannique et la Fondation Gates, sera mis à exécution au Nigeria, au Burkina Faso, en Birmanie/au Myanmar, au Mozambique, en Ouganda, au Kiribati, au Vanuatu et aux Îles Salomon et remplacera les procédures d’enregistrement actuelles qui, lorsqu’elles existent, sont souvent d’une qualité tellement médiocre que les données sont perdues ou ne peuvent pas être retrouvées.
