Just before departing from that brief and moving on to my own shopping list, I would like specifically to endorse the first recommendation of the Canadian Bar Association's brief, which is the one dealing with a new kind of remedy entailing a reduction in the period of imprisonment or, in lieu of that, financial compensation.
