Dutch aid to Alkmaar container terminal: Commission initiates an investigation procedure

The joint venture HHLA CTA will run the Altenwerder container terminal from the end of 2001, when its construction will be completed.

Commission authorises the creation of a joint venture by HHLA and Hapag-Lloyd to run the new Altenwerder container terminal Altenwerder at the Port of Hamburg.

They were shown an effective system consisting in checks on ear tags and registration numbers, followed by the cutting-up and staining of carcasses, and finally removal to a MBM processing plant in closed and sealed containers.
