IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Without prejudice to Article 297 TFEU, decisions by the European Parliament or Council to revoke a delegation of power, to object to a delegated act adopted under the urgency procedure or to oppose the tacit renewal of a delegation of power shall also be published in the L series of the Official Journal of the European Union. A decision to revoke shall enter into force the day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union

The new law will violate mobility rights and will put all naturalized citizens under the tacit threat of having their citizenship revoked by making it possible for government officials to strip a naturalized Canadian of citizenship if they believe that person never intended to live in Canada, for example if she/he decides to study, accept a job, or move in with a romantic partner outside of Canada.
