On voit dans la vallée de Pemberton, près de Whistler, d'énormes arbres dont les branches latérales vont jusqu'au sol. On en déduit qu'aucun autre arbre ne leur a fait concurrence pendant leur croissance.
In the Pemberton Valley, near Whistler, you can see large vets, or very large trees, and they have lateral branching right down to the ground, which suggests that when they were growing, there were no other trees competing with them.
