En ce qui concerne la question de savoir si la demande soumise par la Bulgarie satisfait aux critères financiers et techniques établis par la Commission et si la Commission estime que la technologie sélectionnée répond à tous les critères requis d’un point de vue environnemental et financier/économique pour le cofinancement du projet, il est à noter que l’évaluation technique de la demande par la Commission a confirmé la viabilité des premiers éléments de fond du nouveau système de gestion des déchets, à savoir une capacité d’enfouissement à long terme et des installations de compostage.
With regard to whether the application made by Bulgaria meets the financial and technical criteria laid down by the Commission, and whether the Commission considers the technology selected to fulfil all the necessary requirements from an environmental and financial-economic standpoint with a view to co-financing of the project, it should be pointed out that the technical assessment of Bulgaria's application by the Commission has confirmed the viability of the first substantial components of the new waste management system, namely an adequate long-term landfill capacity and the facilities for composting.
