Nous devons admettre que les intéressées doivent percevoir une allocation leur permettant de cesser de travailler suffisamment longtemps pour mener leur grossesse à son terme en toute sécurité et récupérer physiquement après un accouchement normal, d’une part, et reconnaître que l’allocation de maternité accordée aux femmes doit être suffisante, d’autre part.
It must be recognised that they need to be granted an allowance enabling them to stop work for long enough to come safely through their pregnancy and physically recover after a normal confinement, and that the maternity allowance granted to women should be adequate. Therefore, I particularly agree with the rapporteur’s opinion on the proposals at this directive’s second reading.
