Today's decision is of key importance for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and Poland to agree on the way forward to find, by the end of May 2018 at the latest, a solution on the best way to synchronise the Baltic States' electricity grid with the continental Europe system, in line with the results of the ministerial meeting from December 2017 (see STATEMENT/17/5271).

All Member States have a legal framework in place to allow law enforcement to obtain judicial orders (or, in the case of two Member States, a warrant personally authorised by a senior Minister) for the interception of communications on the public telecommunications network.

54. Reaffirms the EU’s and its Member States’ firm commitment to complete the single energy market, ensuring the strict application of the acquis and calls on the Commission to propose a 15 % target of cross-border interconnection infrastructure, in particular for renewable electricity, by 2025; stresses that climate and energy goals will not be achieved unless a fully integrated European network is developed, equipped with a higher number of cross-border interconnections, greater storage potential and smart grids that can handle a secure supply using high levels of renewables; underlines the need for the upgrading of innovative low-emissions technol ...[+++]ogies and solutions;

5. Urges all members of the WTO to try to find a solution without delay for implementing the Bali Package in all its aspects, including the reduction of trade-distorting subsidies, so that the DDA can be concluded for the Tenth WTO Ministerial Conference;
