17. estime qu'il y a lieu d'augmenter l'efficacité du service d'interprétation au moyen des technologies nouvelles; a donc décidé que les crédits du poste 2101 ("Équipements informatiques répartis”) devraient aussi servir à faciliter l'accès des interprètes à l'information pendant les réunions, à réaffecter les interprètes en fonction des modifications de dernière minute et à contribuer à améliorer la qualité du travail des interprètes;

Believes that there is room for improving the efficiency of the interpretation service with modern information technology; has decided, therefore, that the appropriations against Item 2101 ("Distributed data-processing systems”) should also be used for providing more IT support to facilitate the access of interpreters to information during parliamentary meetings, for the reallocation of interpreters following last-minute programme changes and to contribute to higher-quality work by interpreters;
