(4) Where the owner of an aircraft changes its marks pursuant to subsection (3) or the owner of a vintage aircraft changes its nationality mark from “C” to “CF” or from “CF” to “C”, followed by the appropriate registration mark, the owner shall, prior to operating the aircraft, notify the Minister in writing of the change, and the Minister shall change the marks accordingly in the Canadian Civil Aircraft Register and issue a new registration certificate to reflect the change.

202.02 (1) The Minister shall, on receipt of an application made in accordance with the Aircraft Marking and Registration Standards, issue to or reserve a registration mark or a special registration mark for an applicant.

6. Where the vessel is flying the flag or displays the marks of registry of a Member State that is not participating in the sea operation or of a third country, the host Member State or a participating Member State, depending on whose participating unit has intercepted that vessel , shall notify the flag State, shall request confirmation of registry and, if nationality is confirmed, shall request that the flag State take action to suppress the use of its vessel for smuggling of migrants.

An importer or distributor shall be considered a manufacturer for the purposes of this Regulation and shall be subject to the obligations of the manufacturer under Articles 6 to 6b, where the importer or distributor makes available on the market, registers or is responsible for the entry into service of a vehicle, system, component or separate technical unit under its name or trademark or modifies a vehicle, system, component or separate technical unit already made available on the market, registered or entered into service in such a way that compliance with the applicable requirements may be affected.
