Il est intéressant de voir que lorsque le député de LaSalle-Émard a proposé son plan en six étapes pour améliorer la Chambre des communes—et il a déclaré qu'il existe ici un véritable déficit démocratique—il a entre autres repris un argument bien compréhensible des députés libéraux d'arrière-banc qui sont insatisfaits de se faire dicter pour qui voter lorsque sont élus les présidents de comité.

It's interesting that when the member from LaSalle Émard was proposing his six-point plan to fix the House of Commons he says there's a real democratic deficit around here one of the things he did was to cater to an understandable demand by Liberal backbenchers that they don't like this idea of being told who to vote for in the election of committee chairmen.
