Cependant, dans l'attente de l'adoption de règles conformément à l'article 6, paragraphe 2, point g), lorsque les déchets de cuisine et de table constituent le seul sous-produit animal utilisé comme matière première dans une usine de production de biogaz ou une usine de compostage, l'autorité compétente peut autoriser l'application de normes de transformation autres que celles prévues aux points 12 et 13, pour autant qu'elles garantissent un effet équivalent quant à la réduction des agents pathogènes.
14. However, pending the adoption of rules in accordance with Article 6(2)(g), the competent authority may, when catering waste is the only animal by-product used as raw material in a biogas or composting plant, authorise the use of processing standards other than those laid down in paragraphs 12 and 13 provided that they guarantee an equivalent effect regarding the reduction of pathogens.
