WELCOMES the Johannesburg affirmation of good governance, enhanced participation of civil society, and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms as being essential to the pursuit of sustainable development, UNDERLINES that women should be able to participate fully and equally in policy formulation and decision-making, and be given full and equal access to economic opportunity including land ownership and inheritance, and REITERATES that promotion of all human rights, democracy, the rule of law and good governance are an integral part of EU policies;

We believe that women should be full and equal partners in Canadian sport, whether as athletes, coaches, officials, leaders or decision makers.
