Revenons-en à présent à la question essentielle de ce que nous avons appelé la troisième phase de l’intégration européenne, à savoir celle de l’influence et du pouvoir, pour reconnaître que, si nous voulons sauvegarder la paix et la prospérité en Europe, nous avons besoin d’une Union européenne qui soit bien plus disposée à projeter ce pouvoir et cette influence dans le monde.
Returning now to the main issue of what we have called the third phase of European integration, that of influence and power, we have to recognize that to safeguard peace and prosperity in Europe we need a European Union that is much more willing to project that power and influence in the world.
