La loi relative aux allégements fiscaux (Steuerentlastungsgesetz 1999/2000/2002) du 24 mars 1999, entrée en vigueur le 1er avril 1999, a modifié la loi relative à l'impôt sur le revenu (EstG), et notamment l'article 50bis, paragraphe 7, en vertu duquel un client allemand d'un contrat d'entreprise est tenu d'opérer une retenue à la source au taux de 25% sur la rémunération de l'opérateur non-résident.
The Tax Relief Act (Steuerentlastungsgesetz 1999/2000/2002) of 24 March 1999, applicable as from 1 April 1999, amended the income tax law (EStG) and notably article 50a paragraph 7, under which a German customer of contract work is obliged to impose a withholding tax at the rate of 25 % on payments to a non-resident entrepreneur.
