L'organisation météorologique mondiale (OMM), basée à Genève, a annoncé mardi que le trou dans la couche d'ozone au dessus de l'hémisphère Nord avait atteint cet hiver un niveau alarmant : un déficit record de 45 % de la couche d'ozone a été constaté pendant quelques jours au dessus de la région sub-polaire allant du Groenland à la Sibérie occidentale en passant par la Scandinavie.
The World Meteorological Organisation, WMO, in Geneva reported Tuesday that the hole in the ozone layer covering the northern hemisphere this winter has reached an alarming record: for a few days an unprecedented deficit of 45% of the ozone layer has been observed over the sub-polar region from Greenland, over Scandinavian to the western parts of Siberia.
