For countries with a high rate of inflation, the weightings shall come into effect before 1 January in the case of the interim adjustment, or 1 July in the case of the annual adjustment, so as to bring the loss in purchasing power into line with what it would be in a place of employment where the change in the cost of living corresponded to the sensitivity threshold.
