Mr. Vena: With respect to the MTBE, it is the oxygenate of choice in the U.S. for octane enhancement, as well as world principle constituents and RFG, which is a cleaner burning fuel mandated in a number of areas in the U.S.

As you know, regular gasoline has an octane of 87, so it's a high-octane fuel.

In the case of natural gas there are generally two types of fuel, high calorific fuel (H-gas) and low calorific fuel (L-gas), but with a significant spread within both ranges; they differ significantly in Wobbe index.

Unless otherwise specified this data collection applies to all of the following energy products, for which the definitions in Annex B Chapter 4 apply: crude oil, NGL, refinery feedstocks, other hydrocarbons, refinery gas (not liquefied), ethane, LPG, naphtha, motor gasoline, aviation gasoline, gasoline type jet fuel (naphtha type jet fuel or JP4), kerosene type jet fuel, other kerosene, gas/diesel oil (distillate fuel oil), transport diesel, heating and other gasoil, fuel oil (both low and high sulphur content), white spirit and SBP, lubricants, bitumen, paraffin waxes and petroleum coke.

It is imported into Canada, blended at the Ethyl plant in Corruna, Ontario and then sold to Canadian refiners for octane enhancement in their gasoline.
