On 24 April 2013, the ESM Board of Governors decided to grant, in principle, stability support to Cyprus and approved the Memorandum of Understanding on Specific Economic Policy Conditionality (hereinafter the ‘MoU’) and its signing by the Commission on behalf of the ESM.

The Kingdom of Denmark shall be authorised to conclude agreements with Greenland and the Faroe Islands, to the effect that the transfers of funds between Denmark and Greenland and between Denmark and the Faroe Islands are treated as transfers of funds within Denmark for the purposes of Regulation (EC) No 1781/2006.

The Agreement between the European Union and the Government of the Faeroes on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (1), signed on 3 June 2010, has, in accordance with Article 5(2) thereof, entered into force on 28 June 2011.

‘ “Territory” means, for the United States, the land areas (mainland and islands), internal waters and territorial sea under its sovereignty or jurisdiction, and, for the European Union and its Member States, the land areas (mainland and islands), internal waters and territorial sea in which the Agreement on the European Economic Area is applied and under the conditions laid down in that agreement and any successor instrument, with the exception of the land areas and internal waters under the sovereignty or jurisdiction of the Principality of Liechtenstein; application of this Agreement to Gibraltar airport is understood to be without prejudice to the respective legal positions of the Kingdom of Spain and the United Kingdom with regard to ...[+++]the dispute over sovereignty over the territory in which the airport is situated, and to the continuing suspension of Gibraltar Airport from European Union aviation measures existing as at 18 September 2006 as between Member States, in accordance with the Ministerial statement on Gibraltar Airport agreed in Córdoba on 18 September 2006; and’.

(20) Whereas the limit values of 0,2 % (from the year 2000) and of 0,1 % (from the year 2008) for the sulphur content of gas oils intended for marine use in sea-going ships may present technical and economic problems for Greece throughout its territory, for Spain with regard to the Canary Islands, for France with regard to the French Overseas Departments, and for Portugal with regard to the archipelagoes of Madeira and Azores; whereas a derogation for Greece, the Canary Islands, the French Overseas Departments and the Archipelagoes of Madeira and Azores should not have a negative effect upon the market in gas oil intended for marine use and given that exports of gas oil for marine use from Greece, the Canary Islands, the French Overseas De ...[+++]partments and the Archipelagoes of Madeira and Azores to other Member States should satisfy the requirements in force in the importing Member State; whereas Greece, the Canary Islands, the French Overseas Departments and the Archipelagoes of Madeira and Azores should therefore be afforded a derogation from the limit values of sulphur by weight for gas oil used for marine purposes;

Whereas protection should continue to be extended under Directive 87/54/EEC to the Isle of Man, with effect from 1 January 1996, until such time as the Isle of Man is bound by the provisions of the Agreement on trade-related aspects of intellectual property rights following the extension of the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organization to the Isle of Man,
