As the Commission recalled in its recent Action plan "Simplifying and improving the regulatory environment", there are, in addition to regulatory instruments (regulations, directives, recommendations) other tools available, which, in specific circumstances, can be used to achieve the objectives of the Treaty while simplifying lawmaking activities and legislation itself (co-regulation, self-regulation, voluntary sectoral agreements, open co-ordination method, financial interventions, information campaign) [37].
Comme la Commission l'a rappelé dans son récent plan d'action intitulé "Simplifier et améliorer l'environnement réglementaire", il existe, en dehors des instruments réglementaires (règlements, directives, recommandations), d'autres outils qui peuvent être utilisés, dans des circonstances spécifiques, pour réaliser les objectifs du traité tout en simplifiant le travail législatif et la législation elle-même (co-régulation, autorégulation, accords volontaires sectoriels, méthode ouverte de coordination, interventions financières, campagne d'information) [37].
