The third element is the effort and the positions to protect the cultural heritage of Iraq; this too is positive and I hope there will not be some people, in a few years' time, who maintain that the stolen exhibits are in various museums, just as the Acropolis marbles are in the British Museum, and that these antiquities or cultural monuments are better protected than they were in the countries in which they originated.
Le troisième élément, ce sont les efforts et les interventions en faveur de la protection de l’héritage culturel irakien; cela aussi est positif et j’espère qu’il ne se trouvera personne, d’ici quelques années, pour maintenir que les objets dérobés dans les différents musées, à l’image des marbres de l’Acropole qui se trouvent au British Museum, sont des antiquités et des monuments culturels mieux protégés qu’ils ne le seraient dans leur pays d’origine.
