(8) With a view to harmonising the internal market for new medicinal products, this procedure should also be made compulsory for orphan medicinal products and any medicinal product for human use containing an entirely new active substance, i.e. one that has not yet been authorised in the Community, and for which the therapeutic indication is the treatment of acquired immune deficiency syndrome, cancer, neurodegenerative disorder or diabetes.
(8) Dans l'optique d'une harmonisation du marché intérieur pour les nouveaux médicaments, il convient également de rendre cette procédure obligatoire pour les médicaments orphelins et tout médicament à usage humain contenant une substance active entièrement nouvelle, c'est-à-dire n'ayant pas encore fait l'objet d'une autorisation dans la Communauté, et dont l'indication thérapeutique est le traitement du syndrome d'immunodéficience acquise, du cancer, d'une maladie neurodégénérative ou du diabète.
