Neveroski a à nouveau dénoncé, dans un appel publié notamment par le journal Libération, le 7 janvier 2000, la politique russe en Tchétchénie en invitant les jeunes appelés russes à demander d'effectuer un service civil alternatif au service militaire, tel que le reconnaît la Constitution russe.
From the SIZO 37/01 prison in Kaluga where he is being held, Mr Neverovskii has once again, in an appeal published in Libération on 7 January 2000 and elsewhere, denounced Russian policy in Chechnya, while urging young Russian conscripts to ask to undergo the civilian service provided for in the Russian constitution as an alternative to military service.
