If there is anything I have heard you, personally, Mr. Speaker, speak about in the House of Commons, it is the fact that for all kinds of good reasons, for the environment, for the cost factor, to save on fuel, we should all be trying to get the freight off the trucks and put it back on the rails to the largest extent possible so that most of its transportation, most of the distance that is shipped is shipped by rail.
Comme je vous l'ai souvent entendu dire à la Chambre des communes, monsieur le Président, nous avons une foule de raisons, qu'il s'agisse de l'environnement, des coûts, des économies de carburant, pour nous efforcer de transporter les marchandises beaucoup moins par camion et beaucoup plus par train, et ce sur la plus grande distance possible.
